Russia has claimed a major air defence success in the ongoing war with Ukraine. The Russian ministry of defence claimed its forces shot down 483 Ukrainian drones and 14 guided aerial bombs within a 24-hour period. According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, since the start of the conflict in 2022, Russian forces have destroyed more than 162,000 Ukrainian drones, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 662 air defense systems, and nearly 30,000 tanks and armored vehicles. These figures could not be independently verified.
